About Me

Raymond Milne

Vancouver BC, Canada

I have been studying wine for several decades, both on my own and through the Wine and Spirit Education Trust.  I have earned my WSET Level 3 with Distinction.

As part of my studies, and for my own pleasure, I have been to wineries all over the world including: the Okanagan and Similkameen in BC; the Niagara Peninsula and Prince Edward County in Ontario; Napa, Sonoma, Santa Rita Hills, Monterey, and Mendocino in California; Rioja and Ribera Del Duero in Spain; Tuscany and Umbria in Italy; Champagne and Burgundy in France; and Maipo in Chile.

I have been leading wine tastings and teaching people about wine since the 1980’s.  I have spent over 20 years volunteering with the Vancouver International Wine Festival, and I have attended wine festivals in the Okanagan, Whistler and Chile.

I might be serious about wine, but wine doesn't need to be a serious adventure.  Putting good fun and good wine together can create memorable experiences.  Add some good food and good friends to the equation and you can create an unforgettable moment in time.
